26. THE HOUR OF TRAIL.
Revelation3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
What is the hour of trial which is coming upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth?
The apostle Peter prophesied concerning the hour of trail.
II Peter3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
There is a day coming when the Lord Jesus Christ, accompanied by His powerful angels, shall be revealed from heaven in flaming fire. On that day He will try the whole world by fire, taking vengeance on the wicked with everlasting destruction, and give rest to the righteous. When will this day be? In that Day He comes to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe. (II Thessalonians 1:3-10)
God’s word says of that Day.
Malachi4:1 “for behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble and the day which is coming shall burn them up,” says the Lord of host. “That will leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. 3 You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day I do this,” says the Lord of hosts.
Back in Revelation 2:10 Jesus promises that He will give the crown of life to those who are faithful until death, while in Revelation 3:11 Jesus warns us not only is He coming quickly, but also to hold fast to what we have, that no one may take away your crown.
Revelation2:10 "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."
Revelation3:11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
If we persevere in keeping the commands of Jesus Christ and hold fast to what we have in Christ, we gain God's promise of the crown of life, but if we do not hold fast to the faith we have in Christ, we allow Satan to take away our crown of life.
