Psalm 133:1 Look and see, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that descended down to the skirts of his garments; 3 as the dew of Hermon that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, life for evermore.
Aaron is a type picture of Christ has head of the Church. And the Church is blessed when the brethren dwell together in unity under Christ; as the anointing flows down from Christ over the garments down to skirts of his garments. What are the garments of the Church in this picture? The garments are the believers who make up the body of Christ the Church. They gather around Christ and cling to Christ like a garment; so closely bound together in unity and love, that as the anointing flows down from Christ the head of the Church, it cover the garments, and down to the skirts of his garments, where the little child hang on to the garments of Jesus Christ. Thus the whole Church is covered by and blessed by the anointing.
How do we attain to this unity under Christ? By focus in on Christ, and both as a body of believers and as individuals working towards daily becoming more Christ like in Christ. In this way our worldly and carnal differences will fall away from us.
The problem most of the Church has today is; we try to attain unity, not by focusing on Christ but by focusing on each other. Then we begin to compromise our righteous beliefs in order to allow us to come together in unity. But in the process we become less Christ like; Christ ceases to be head of the Church; and this compromising, unrighteous, demonic demon called Unity becomes the head of the Church and Christ is thrown out the door.
God forgive us for we, all of us have sinned and come short of God’s glory.
